Founded in 1966, Cohiba has long been regarded as the epitome of premium Cuban cigars.
Originally created for Fidel Castro, the brand was secretly produced at the El Laguito factory. It has always adhered to three core principles: using only the most meticulously selected tobacco, undergoing a unique three-stage fermentation process, and employing only highly skilled cigar rollers. At first, these cigars were reserved exclusively as diplomatic gifts from Castro to foreign political allies.
It wasn’t until 1982 that Cohiba became available on the international market. Today, it is a globally renowned brand, highly sought after by cigar enthusiasts, and frequently receives top scores in blind tastings by Cigar Aficionado magazine.
